Why Mindfulness?
If someone told you there was a way you could create more longevity in your lifespan, prevent disease, prevent cellular inflammation in your body, prevent harmful stress, and help you to respond smarter in the moment, would you take a few easy steps to accomplish those things through mindfulness?
One can formally sit in meditation as a path to mindfulness. And there are informal ways to incorporate mindfulness into your day as well:
Consciously breathe for just 30 seconds at a time throughout your day.
Physically slow down your body movements to stop the rush of unconsciously moving forward so fast.
Take time to assess what your needs are in the moment.
Know what you want to focus on and ways to be more productive in your life.
And to counteract our negative emotions, take time to celebrate the good moments with gratitude.
